RCLT 2007-2008 Play Schedule

Presented for the community of Roswell, New Mexico and Chaves County.

Play auditions will be at 7:30 in the theatre unless otherwise annnounced.
Friday and Saturday evening performances have a curtain time of 7:30 P.M.
Sunday afternoon matinees begin at 2:00 P.M.
Matinee reservations are not needed or requested. Reservations are requested, but not necessary, for the evening performances and may be made by phone at: (505) 622-1982 or via email at: rclt@dfn.com

"Walk-ins" are welcome and will be seated on a space available basis.
Tickets: $8.00 Adult, $5.00 Student, $6.00 each person for groups of 10 or more. Youth Groups are $4.00 per person.
Please note that $1.00 of each ticket purchased will be dedicated to and deposited in the RCLT Building Fund

California Suite

Auditions: 30, 31 July 2007 at 7:30 P.M. in the Theatre building at 1101 North Virginia Avenue.
Parts available for five (5) men and six (6) women.

Evening Performances: 21, 22, 28, 29 September 2007 at 7:30 P.M.;
Reservations requested
Matinee Performances:23, 30 September at 2:00 P.M.;
No reservations requested or needed.

This bittersweet comedy focuses on 5 couples, all set in one hotel suite in California. The first couple hails from New York City and is engaged in a custody battle. The second is from Philadelphia: the husband is trying to cover up his one night stand - literally. The third is from London: she is nominated for an Academy Award, he is gay. The fourth and fifth are two couples from Chicago, who fight constantly while they are on vacation together.

The Sunday matinees are 2, 9 December 2007 at 2:00 P.M..

Synopsis: A Long Island tycoon of great faith faces a multitude of adverse crises, as did the biblical Job. No sacrilege is intended in this hilarious play by Broadway's premier comedy writer. A "heavenly messenger" from the Bronx provides his share of laughs. Termed "an uproarious morality play for the secular age!"

Going Bare
Rated PG.

Synopsis: Dr. Jack Ramsay, a gynecologist, is "going bare." After he drops his malpractice insurance coverage to avoid paying outrageous premiums, he is hit with a frivolous, multi-million dollar lawsuit. He and his devoted wife Barbara, conspire to get a divorce that puts his assets into her name. How can this marriage survive a divorce, two foo-shuffling lawyers, lies and deceptions, and the pursuit of Jack by another woman? Going Bare take a hilarious look at love in this tale of liability and lawyers, lust, and lies.

Angel Street

A drama by Patrick Hamilton and Directed by Christi Bradshaw.

Auditions: 18, 19 February 2008 at 7:30 P.M.

Production dates: Evening performances are 25, 26, April and 2, 3 May 2008 at 7:30 P.M..
The Sunday matinees are 27 April and 4 May 2008 at 2:00 P.M..

Parts available are for 3 women and 2 men.


Synopsis: Angel Street is a Victorian thriller in three acts. It tells the story of the Manninghams of Angel Street. Under the guise of kindliness, handsome Mr. Manningham is torturing his wife to insanity. While her diabolical husband is out of the hourse, a benign police inspector visits her and ultimately proves to her that her husband is a maniacal criminal, suspected of a murder commited fifteen years ago in the same house, and that he is preparing to dispose of her.

The Little Theater's Production of 'Hamlet'

Production dates: Evening performances are 20, 21, 27, 28 June 2008 at 7:30 P.M..
The Sunday matinees are 22 & 29 June 2008 at 2:00 P.M..

Parts available are for 6 women and 2 men.


Synopsis: A sophisticate New York director reluctantly travels to West Virginia to direct Hamlet under a grant for "under-served regions." Only six people show up for the casting of the play, four of them women! In addition to giving insights into what Little Theater is all about, Jean Battlo's play will definitely provide RCLT audiences with a unique 'Shakespearean production'.
