The Roswell Community Little Theatre is here to provide enrichment to the lives of our fellow citizens. To people who want to act. To people who want to build, or paint, or sew. To people who want to challenge their minds. And to people who want to be entertained. We believe we have a responsibility to give young people the chance to gain confidence and discover talents through theatre. We recognize that many adults and senior citizens are interested in opportunities to develop skills and enjoy new avocations. Our new theatre will give enthusiasts the chance to deepen their skills and broaden their knowledge. We believe that theatre gives us the chance to explore what it means to be human. We believe it teaches us how to conduct our own lives. And, we also get a big kick out of “doing theater.” |

See the theatre with new eyes. Notice the volunteer giving his time and gaining an extended family. Notice an actress giving her talent and gaining self-fulfillment. Notice a patron giving support and gaining enjoyment and the great satisfaction of making a difference. You will see the circle of giving and receiving that creates community. And you will see the community that enriches life. |

Acting activities are physical, visceral, and sensual. Engagement in the arts is a cognitive activity, one that requires and develops special forms of thinking. One such form, known as qualitative problem solving, is described as the ability to create or notice the nuances among sensory qualities and to make judgments about the relationships between these qualities in the absence of rules. The arts can be media through which human distill and display experience. In this way, the arts potentially can represent ideas and concepts. |
