Bus Stop is a romantic comedy set at Grace’s Diner on the highway, 30 miles west of Kansas City in the 1960’s.  Passengers on a bus are holed up at this dingy café/ rest stop overnight, due to a raging blizzard:  Bo, a rowdy cowboy and his sidekick, Virgil; deputy Will; Dinner owner Grace; innocent high-school waitress Alma; bus driver Carl; lecherous Dr. Lyman; and Cherie, a Kansas City bar singer (famously portrayed by Marilyn Monroe in the movie).  Over the hours, the Midwestern characters lay out their personal love histories.  Produced by arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
